"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked. "Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

It's the little things that matter

Yes, I know that I owe you all a real post sometime in the near future. But, I admit it, I was reluctant to let Elvis and friend drop further down the page. Hee.

This is not that real post. But today had some really nice things happen and I thought I would share.

  • One of the teachers at school (one that I don't work with) told me that she had heard that I was an awesome special ed teacher. Since that could have only come from one of the teachers I do work with, it made me happy.

  • One of the teachers I do work with thanked me profusely for helping her during a parent/student meeting. Since this teacher really rocks, it made it even more special to know that she thinks I am a huge help to her.

  • When I got home from work, there was a small package in the mail. Inside was a thank you card from Jenn and Jim, plus a Jenn-mastered CD of Ani DiFranco music and TWO adorable cards made by (yes, you guessed it!) Jenn! They are so pretty, I may never give them to anyone.

  • I have pretty tulips in two different vases. No matter which way I look, I see flowers. They make me happy.

It was a good day.

What a great list! I love being told people think highly of me at work. And I love making CDs for people (and now cards too!). I sure hope you like it.
